We’re so excited to have you as a guest at Sandy Shores Campground. When it comes to our rates, you’ll notice that charges vary depending on the size of your party and the time of season you’re planning to visit. Additionally, staying with us during the week (Monday – Thursday) is slightly less expensive than staying with us on weekends. Holiday weekends are always in high demand—so be sure and book early!

Call for Reservation

Ready to make a reservation? Before you call, check out how to organize your reservation below. Rates are listed at the bottom of the page. At Sandy Shores Campground, we don’t take reservations online or by email, but we’re more than happy to assist you by phone: (231) 873-3003.

We begin taking reservations on the 2nd Monday in March of the same year you’re reserving for. Please be aware of the high call volume we experience during the first week of phone reservations. We appreciate your patience & efforts in getting through to us!

Making a Reservation

It’s easy! We simply ask that you have some information ready when you call.

Basic details about your booking

  • Water & Electric or Full/Hookup (Water, Electric, and Sewer)
  • Please keep in mind, primitive or rustic sites are not offered at Sandy Shores Campground

What you’re bringing

We’ll need the type and size of your camping unit.

Any additional equipment? (boat, dune buggy, etc.)

Number of adults and children for each site

Any pets? Let us know how many and of what breed. We are pet friendly with no additional charges. Before making the decision to bring your pet(s): We do ask that you first review our pet policy to determine if your pet will be suited to such an environment without disturbing or endangering other campers. Please be aware that we actively enforce this policy. We will maintain a safe and quiet atmosphere for everyone.

A $10.00 non-refundable reservation fee is automatically charged per site. In addition, a deposit is required based on when and how long you’ll be staying (see chart below). We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover.

Rates (Camping Season: May 10 thru Sept 14)

Take a look at the charts below for this year’s rates, and please keep in mind:

  • Rates are based on: 2 adults or 1 family: 2 adults and up to 3 unmarried children (age 18 & under)
  • Over 3 children (age 18 & under): $5 charge per child nightly
  • Over 2 adults (age 19 & up): $10 charge per adult nightly
  • Limit of 4 adults per site with only 1 camping unit allowed on site. (Remember, when there are more than 2 adults, extra charges apply. See above). Groups of adults who are not accompanied by a parent must ALL be at least 21 years of age.
  • Limit of 1 camping unit and 2 vehicles allowed per sight. Boats, ATVs, and utility trailers each count as 1 vehicle. Note: There is NO overflow parking available for equipment that will not fit on your campsite.
  • Rates and rules are subject to change without notice.

Off Season Discount Rates

For a discounted rate, you can book your stay during our off season:

Visitor Rates

Fees charged for visitors who enter the campground for the day or stay for the night.

Cancellation Policy

To be eligible for a refund, less a $25 cancellation fee (per site), we require a minimum 14-day notice prior to your scheduled day of arrival. Unfortunately, NO refund will be issued if we are given less than 14-days advance notice.

Reservation Changes

$25 change fee will be charged for shortened stays and must first be approved by management.  Minimum 14-day notice required prior to scheduled arrival date. No changes will be accepted at check-in. Transferring a deposit to a different time period is not allowed.

Holiday Visitor Policy

No overnight add-on guests will be allowed without prior office approval. Doubling up of camping units or families is not allowed.

Preparing for Your Stay

We’re so glad you’ll be spending your vacation at Silver Lake. We hope you have a wonderful time while you’re here! As you prepare for your arrival, please remember:

  • CHECK-IN: BEGINS @ 2 pm until 10 pm
  • No arrivals or set-ups allowed after 10 pm
  •  Quiet hours begin (11pm – 8am).
  • CHECK-OUT: 12 Noon
  • Full rates will be charged after 12 Noon.
