40 years of family camping.

In 1981, Sandy Shores Campground was developed by the Klepper families. Today, with the addition of their sons, Nick and Mike, the Kleppers still own and operate the campground started 40 years ago with the same care and attention to detail. After all, camping is a part of their family. Since the 1960s, the Kleppers have been involved in the business of camping and the making of precious memories.

At Sandy Shores, the grounds are always clean and well kept, and there are a few special features that are particularly unique.

First, there’s the private beachfront on Silver Lake. Sandy Shores is so named for a reason. No other private campground in the area has a beach on beautiful Silver Lake.

Additionally, you’ll find that the camp sites at Sandy Shores were developed in a stand of 75 to 100-foot-tall, old growth trees. These mature shade trees provide the perfect environment for campsites; adding cover, coolness, and a little bit of privacy—not to mention, they’re beautiful.

The ultimate family experience.

Finally, when you come to Sandy Shores, you’ll find a haven for campers of all kinds—but “especially for families”. This campground is the perfect place to take your kids or extended family when you want to get away from it all and spend some quality time together. With all the devices we use and things we’re plugged into these days, some relaxing time away is more necessary than ever. Enjoy the beach, playground, and outdoor heated pool.
