Rates & Reservations

When in doubt, go on vacation.

We’re so excited to have you as a guest at Sandy Shores Campground. When it comes to our rates, you’ll notice that charges vary depending on the size of your party and the time of season you’re planning to visit.

Additionally, staying with us during the week (Monday – Thursday) is slightly less expensive than staying with us on weekends. Memorial Day, the 4th of July, and Labor Day weekends are all always in high demand—so be sure and book your holiday getaways early.

Ready to make a reservation? Before you call, check out how to organize your reservation below. You’ll find a listing of our rates at the bottom of the page as well.

At Sandy Shores Campground, we don’t take reservations online or by email, but we’re more than happy to assist you by phone: (231) 873-3003. We begin taking reservations on the second Monday in March of the same year you’re reserving for. Keep in mind that prior to our May 1st opening, our reservation desk will be closed on weekends.

Making a Reservation

It’s easy! We simply ask that you have some information ready when you call. In particular, we’ll want to know the following:

Basic details about your booking

  • Your arrival and departure dates
  • Types of sites you require:
  • Water & Electric or Full / Hookup (Water, Eletric, and Sewer)
  • Please keep in mind, primitive or rustic sites are not offered at Sandy Shores Campground

What and who you’re bringing

Tell us what you’ll be camping in. We’ll need the type and size of your:

  • Tent
  • Pop-up
  • Travel trailer
  • Motorhome
  • Truck camper
  • Hybrid trailer

Any additional equipment?

  • Boat
  • Dune buggy
  • Enclosed trailer
  • Other

Any pets? We’ll need some information on them.

Deposit

A $3.00 reservation fee is automatically charged per site. In addition, a deposit is required based on when and how long you’ll be staying (see chart below).We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover.

Rates

Take a look at the chart below for this year’s rates, and please keep in mind the following.

  • Rates are based on: 1 couple or 1 family: 2 adults and up to 3 unmarried children (age 18 & under)
  • For extra children (age 18 & under): $4 charge per child nightly
  • For extra adults (age 19 & up): $10 charge per adult nightly
  • Limit of 4 adults per site with only 1 camping unit allowed on site. (Remember, when there are more than 2 adults, extra charges apply. See above).
  • Limit of 1 camping unit and 2 vehicles allowed per sight. Boats, ATVs, and utility trailers each count as 1 vehicle.
  • Rates and rules are subject to change without notice.

Fees are charged for visitors who enter the campground for the day or stay for the night.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel your reservation for any reason, we require a minimum 7 day notice in order to receive a refund less a $25 cancellation/reservation change fee. One cancellation fee is charged per cancelled site. We do not offer refunds on cancellations made with less than 7 days notice.

If you need to change your reservation, you must contact us as soon as possible, and changes must be approved by management prior to your arrival. We are unable to accept reservation alterations at check-in.

Holiday Visitor Policy

No overnight add-on guests will be allowed without prior office approval. Doubling up of camping units or families is not allowed.

Preparing for Your Stay

We’re so glad you’ll be coming to spend your vacation at Silver Lake. We hope you have a marvelous time while you’re here! As you prepare for your arrival, please remember:

  • CHECK-IN is from 2pm to 11pm.
  • Arrival must be by 11pm. At this time, our office and gate will close.
  • No set-ups will be allowed after 11pm.
  • CHECK-OUT is at 12 Noon.
  • Full rates will be charged for check-outs after 12 Noon.
